The Glazer family currently owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise as of the 2022-2023 season. The family purchased the team in 1995 for $192 million. Under the Glazer’s ownership, the Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl in 2002 and their second in 2021 with quarterback Tom Brady. The family also owns the Manchester United football club and has over $3 billion dollars net worth.
According to Forbes, as of the 2024-2025 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are worth $5.4 billion. This makes them the 16th most valuable franchise in the National Football League (NFL).
The Buccaneers joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1976 along with the Seattle Seahawks. The team’s primary colors are pewter, black, and red, and their logo is a pirate flag featuring a skull superimposed on a crossed pair of swords. They played their home games in Tampa Stadium from 1976 to 2001, when they moved into Raymond James Stadium.
To date, they have appeared in two Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XXXVII at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego on January 26, 2003. They defeated the Oakland Raiders 48–21 behind a strong performance from their defense which set an NFL record for most interceptions in a Super Bowl with five. And defeating the Kansas City Cheifs in Super Bowl LV 31-9 on February 7th, 2021, for their second championship under Glaser.
The Buccaneers play in the NFC South, which they now share with the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. Since the beginning of the 2022-2023 season, the Buccaneers have been coached by Todd Bowles and have been quarterbacked by former New England Patriots legend Tom Brady.
