Who Owns Arsenal FC?

The majority stake in Arsenal FC is owned by American businessman Stan Kroenke. Kroenke first purchased a stake in the club in 2007 and has gradually increased his shareholding since then. He now owns over 67% of the club, making him its majority shareholder.

Although Kroenke is based in the United States, he has said that he sees Arsenal as a long-term investment and has no intention of selling his stake in the club. He also owns the Los Angeles Rams (NFL) and Colorado Avalanche (NHL), who both recently won championships in their respective sport.

According to Forbes, as of the 2024 season, Chelsea FC is worth $2.6 billion dollars. This makes them the 10th most valuable franchise in football (soccer).

Emirates Stadium is a football stadium in Holloway, London, England, and the home of Arsenal Football Club. With a capacity of 60,704, it is the fifth-largest football stadium in England. It opened in July 2006 on the site of the former Highbury Stadium, which was demolished to make way for it.

The name “Emirates” comes from the airline company that sponsor’s the stadium. The stadium has a steel frame with no exterior brickwork and is notable for its acoustics. Early Years Of Arsenal FC

Arsenal was founded as Dial Square, a name derived from their original home at the Royal Arsenal munitions factory in Woolwich, London. The club would go on to change its name to Woolwich Arsenal before finally settling on its current moniker, becoming known simply as Arsenal FC.

During this period, they were members of the Football League Second Division but had little success until manager Herbert Chapman joined in 1925. He revolutionized the team and English football as a whole with his innovative tactics and ideas regarding training and preparation.

The Golden Era (1930–1970)

Under Chapman’s leadership, Arsenal rose to great heights, winning five First Division titles between 1930 and 1938—a feat that was unmatched by any other team until Manchester United did it in 1999—as well as two FA Cups during this period.

During this golden era for the club, they also became known for playing an attractive brand of football which won them many admirers across England and beyond. The team’s success continued after Chapman died suddenly in 1934 when his assistant Joe Shaw took over as manager; he led them to another two First Division titles before leaving in 1947.

Modern Era (1971–Present)

In 1971, Arsenal moved from its historic home at Highbury Stadium to its state-of-the-art Emirates Stadium, where they remain today. Since then, they have experienced mixed fortunes on the pitch, with some highs, such as their unbeaten season in 2003/04—often referred to as “The Invincibles”—and their FA Cup victories in 2014 and 2015 but also some lows, such as their eighth place finish in 2015/16.

However, under current manager Mikel Arteta they have recently begun to show signs of improvement with an FA Cup win in 2020, suggesting that brighter days could be ahead for the club once again.
