Josh Allen ran a 4.75-second 40-yard dash at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, which was faster than any other quarterback that year.
Josh Allen played college football at Wyoming and was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 240 pounds, Allen has been praised for his size, arm strength, and athleticism.
Allen began his football career as a linebacker and running back in high school before switching to the quarterback as a senior. He then played two years of community college football before transferring to Wyoming.
As a junior at Wyoming in 2016, he was named Mountain West Conference (MWC) Player of the Year after leading the Cowboys to an 8–6 record and a berth in the Poinsettia Bowl. After his junior season, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Josh Allen is big, he’s strong, and he has a rocket arm. He’s also got great mobility for a guy his size. Allen is considered a high-upside prospect with a lot of potentials. Some analysts believe he could be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.
Allen is not without his flaws, however. He needs to work on his accuracy and decision-making. There are also questions about his level of competition in college. Despite that, Allen is still expected to be a high pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He could go as high as No. 1 overall.
Josh Allen was not the most touted quarterback coming out of college. Many experts thought he would be a bust in the NFL. But Allen has worked hard to prove the doubters wrong and has developed into one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Allen played his college football at Wyoming. He was not recruited by many schools and only received one scholarship offer from Wyoming. But he made the most of his opportunity, throwing for over 3,000 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior.
After his strong junior season, Allen decided to declare for the NFL draft. He was drafted in the first round by the Buffalo Bills. And while he struggled at times as a rookie, he showed enough promise to be named the Bills’ starting quarterback for the 2019 season.
And Allen has not disappointed. He has thrown for over 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns this season. He has also rushed for over 500 yards and nine touchdowns. And he has led the Bills to their first division title in 25 years.
So how did Josh Allen go from being a little-known quarterback to one of the best players in the NFL? It starts with his work ethic. Allen is always working to improve his game. He watches film and studies defenses to try and find ways to get better. He is also a great leader. His teammates have said he is always positive and upbeat, even when things are going bad. And he has inspired them to play better.
So if you are a Josh Allen fan, be proud. He has worked hard to get where he is today. And he is only going to get better in the future.
