Aaron Judge was born in Linden, California, on April 26, 1992. He grew up playing baseball and other sports with his two brothers. His father, Wayne, played baseball at Fresno State University and his grandfather, Ron, played minor league baseball.
He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of Linden High School but did not sign and instead attended Fresno State University. After two years at Fresno State, he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft.
