So how tall is Justin Herbert? At 6’6″, Herbert is one of the tallest quarterbacks in the NFL. This gives him a significant advantage in terms of visibility and reach. In addition to his impressive stature, Justin Herbert is also an extremely talented athlete.
He ran a 4.68 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, showing that he has the speed to keep up with even the quickest defensive players. His combination of size and speed makes him a rare talent.
Justin Herbert was born in Eugene, Oregon, on March 10, 1998. Making him 26 years old in 2024. Justin attended Sheldon High School in Eugene, where he played football and basketball. He was a three-time all-state player in football and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013. He led Sheldon to a state championship in 2014. In basketball, Justin was named first-team all-conference as a junior and senior. He helped lead Sheldon to the state playoffs in both years.
Herbert arrived at Oregon as a highly touted recruit but saw limited action as a freshman behind starter Dakota Prukop. He made his collegiate debut against UC Davis, completing 7 of 8 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. Herbert took over as the starter midway through his sophomore season after Prukop was benched. He started Oregon’s final six games, including a win over 11th-ranked Utah, in which he completed 17 of 21 passes for 354 yards and five touchdowns.
Herbert entered his junior season as Oregon’s starter. He had one of the best seasons by a quarterback in school history, completing 66 percent of his passes for 3,151 yards and 29 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also rushed for 193 yards and nine touchdowns. Herbert led Oregon to an undefeated regular season and a berth in the College Football Playoff, where they lost to eventual national champion LSU in the semifinals. He was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Manning Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
After the season, Herbert decided to forgo his senior year of eligibility and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He was drafted 6th overall by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Justin Herbert’s playing style is a big part of what makes him such a successful quarterback. He has a unique ability to make plays outside the pocket and keep plays alive with his feet. This makes him very difficult to defend against, as he can extend plays and pick up chunks of yards even when the initial play is dead.
Herbert also has a strong arm, which allows him to make all the throws necessary to be successful at the NFL level. He can easily fit the ball into tight windows and make throws downfield. This makes him a dangerous quarterback who can beat defenses through the air or with his legs.
Herbert is still a young quarterback and has plenty of room to grow. If he can continue to develop his game, he has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for years to come.
