Youth Academy 2008 - 2009

The South Bay Force is pleased to announce the formation of its Youth Soccer Academy. The Youth Academy is a unique soccer development program designed to provide youngsters ages 5-9 with an opportunity to improve fundamental soccer skills in a fun and safe environment. Our program is unique in a number of ways, a few of those include: 

• Our staff - Each session is conducted by trained, nationally licensed coaches.
• Our curriculum - Our curriculum was created by nationally licensed coaches, educators, developmental experts and, most importantly, coaches who have their own children in the program. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and is implemented in a timely, efficient and fun manner. 
• We educate the parents - After sessions we talk about what we did, why we did it, and provide ideas for parents to help their kids at home.

FALL Youth Academy will be starting September 12th, 2008!

Recent tournament success!

The GU16 Black played at the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase, where the girls won 3 of their 4 group games!  At the San Diego Surf Cup, the BU15 Black, defeated the Texas State Champions (and 2007 Surf Cup Finalists) Texas Fire from El Paso, while the BU16 Blue made it to the Quarterfinals before losing to eventual Surf Cup champions - LA Rampage Blue (formerly Valley United Blast) in PK’s.  At the Long Beach Pyramid Cup, the BU10 Black and GU11 Blue were Champions, while the GU12 Blue and the BU12 Blue were Finalists.  During last weekend’s Cal Sun and Surf tournament, the BU9 Black, GU10 Black, and GU11 Black were all Finalists, while the BU11 Blue made it to the Semi’s!  At the X-treme Cup, the new GU9 Black were Finalists in their very 1st tournament!  The BU14 Black were Finalists at the Cypress Cup!

ADIDAS AND MLS TO HOST NATION’S TOP YOUTH SOCCER PLAYERS FOR 2008 ADIDAS ELITE SOCCER PROGRAM AND SUM U-17 CUP

ADIDAS® and MLS are excited to announce their collaboration for the 2008 adidas Elite Soccer Program (ESP) and Soccer United Marketing’s second annual SUM U-17 Cup. These premier youth soccer events are aligning for the first time to provide an enhanced experience of US Soccer’s future stars. The combined programs will host more than 350 of the nation’s top high school soccer players July 3-8 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado.

We are pleased to announce our new Fundraising Pasta Partnership with Pomodoro Cucina Italiana Restaurant in downtown Manhattan Beach. Anyone dining at Pomodoro anytime should simply tell the server that you are with South Bay Force, and make a notation on the invoice as to the club and team name. The restaurant will keep tab of the receipts and refund to the club 20% of all food and non-alcoholic beverage receipts.
