Registration is now open for SCDSL Spring League soccer for U9 - U13 teams for 2012 Age Groups only.  Deadline to sign-up is SUnday February 26th.   Games will start on Saturday March 30th and end by Sunday May 20th. On behalf of the United States Soccer Federation, the following South Bay Force players born in 1998 and 1999 have been invited to participate in the U.S. Soccer Training Center in Carson, CA on January 30, 2012.  The U.S. Soccer Training Centers are designed to replicate National team training camps, and as part of creating this type of environment only players and coaches are welcome.

Congratulations to Coach Keith Whitmer and G02 (Girls Under 9) for winning the FC ManU Winter Cup the weekend of January 21-22, 2012.  The Girls started pool play with a 1-1 tie against Real So Cal Black and then finished Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 win over the Claremont Stars. Their form continued Sunday....

South Bay Force teams rolled to success at the 2012 Real So Cal Invitational and Legends Cup where 4 South Bay Force team won their Flight-1 Championships.   Congratulations to B02 Boys Under 9 (Quigley) at Legends Cup, and at Real So Cal Invitational, B00 Boys under 11 (Chorvat), G98 Girls under 13 (Hancock), and G97 Girls under 14 (Salazar) for all winning their Flight-1 Championships!

With Jim Millinder leaving Southern California to take the head coaching job for the University of San Francisco women’s team, the club searched and found Dan Tobias, a leader with extensive experience at the highest levels of girls soccer. Dan is a two time Pac-10 Women’s coach of the year (at two different schools) and former Soccer America National Coach of the Year....

Congratulations to South Bay Force partner LA Galaxy for winningthe MLS Championship for 2011.  It took four-and-a-half years, but David Beckham and the LA Galaxy finally got the perfect, Hollywood ending that had seemed like it would never come.....

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, January 3, 2012) – LA Galaxy Homegrown Players Jack McBean and Jose Villarreal (South Bay Force) have each been included in the U.S. Under-20 National Team’s 36-man roster for a training camp that began on Monday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. This is the second U-20 camp under head coach Tab Ramos for Villarreal and the first for McBean, who was a member of the Galaxy’s MLS Cup winning side last season.

Over 200 college coaches descended upon Atlanta, GA, on December 2-4 for a College Showcase tournament held in conjunction with the NCAA Final Four college matches.   In addition to the Club teams playing in the showcase, teams were invited to watch the NCAA semi-final matches and NCAA Championshipgame.   Final match this year was Stanford versus Duke.
