As we enter the 2009 edition of our tournament, we continue to strive to make this the best winter-time tournament experience for all players, coaches and their families.  Our aim is to provide every participant a high quality experience, where they can show off everything they have learned over the course of their Fall League and League Cup season, and prepare for the upcoming State, National and Cal Cups in the Spring of 2009!

We want to express our continued appreciation to adidas® for their loyal and substantial support of this tournament and our relationship with them as an adidas® Partner Club.

This 2 day event, will be held on top level fields throughout the communities of Fullerton and Pomona.  We will be using the wonderful facilities at Cal State Fullerton, as well as Cal Poly Pomona!  You are never far away from the the great tourist attractions of DisneyLand, Knott’s Berry Farms, and beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants, shopping , and entertainment of the Orange County!

Adidas Southland Challenge 2009 will be offer:

• the best fields in the North Orange County, with the facilities of Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly Pomona being the tournament HQ’s!
• No Friday night check-in! Check-in will be done prior to the 1st game.
• U9 & U10’s will play regulation 25 minute halves, while U11 thru U14 will play 30 minute halves!
• Champions will receive Adidas Southland Challenge Team Award, Championship T-shirts from Adidas, and Champions medals!
• MVP’s of each Championship Match will receive a special MVP Award from Adidas!
• Every player will receive a Commemorative Tournament Pin!

We want to welcome all our friends from throughout Southern California, Northern California, Nevada, Arizona and Canada. Your participation enhances the spirit of great competition at our tournament.  Some club teams who have committed for 2008: Fullerton Rangers, Legends FC, Los Angeles Rampage, West Coast FC, LAFC and many more.

The Adidas Southland Challenge Tournament Committee will work with club’s to accommodate specials requests for coaches who will handle multiple teams. Our goal is to make this an enjoyable and EASY tournament for all teams including TEAM CHECK-IN AT YOUR SCHEDULED FIELD PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST GAME.
