Over the Thanksgiving weekend the South Bay Force Boys U17 team won the Gold flight of the 2011 Surf College Cup.  The boys won their  group by tying an Australian team and beating teams from Washington State and from Irvine,  CA.  In the semi final they played a tough team from Texas and prevailed in a shootout after a 2 to 2 tie in regular time. In the final, despite having  to play an extra 20 minutes of overtime in the previous game, they played hard and beat the number one ranked team from Idaho 2 to 0. The teams head coach is Mike Erush and the assistant coach is Tony Lawson, managed by Julia Rappleyea.  Way to go South Bay Force BU17.
